Response and Evaluation
Magazine
I used WhatsApp to collect the answers/responses from the people doing the survey for the magazine. I sent the link of our website (www.wickeddpictures.weebly.com). They all said that the website functions well and was easy to use, however, it would of been easier for them to answer the questions if they were interactive, for future reference, I will use either Survey Monkey again or Poll Maker.
All of the respondents chose 'C' as their answer for the first question, this tells me that our colour scheme should have a range of colours instead of a monotone scheme like A and B. Some actual horror magazines that we will refer to are Fangoria and Horror Magazine. For the second question, the majority of people voted for 'B' as their answer, this tells us that the audience would prefer a more detailed magazine, we will do this by adding a good amount of cover and strap lines as well as a boost to add an pop of colour to the magazine, making it more aesthetically pleasing for the audience. The third question had a lot of votes for 'A' and 'B', however, 'B' did in fact get the most votes. By adding only the protagonist onto the front cover, it'll keep it a mystery for the audience to who the antagonist is and what they may look like. We will make sure to make it obvious that the person who is on the front cover is the protagonist, we will do this by adding blood onto them as well as making sure she has the same look as any other final girl. 'B had there most votes for question four, telling us that they do not want any spoilers as to how the antagonist kills their victims, instead we will place an image of the protagonist onto the front cover. The most popular response for question five was 'A', for our masthead, we would like to make it look scratchy and rough, by doing this, it'll be clear that it is a magazine for horror films, we will also make it clear by adding lots of reds to symbolise blood. All of the respondents chose 'B' as their answer which tells us that the front cover should be neither too empty or too busy, so we will include up to a maximum of 6 cover lines to give it more of a professional look. Question seven consisted of the majority voting for 'B', by adding 2-4 images, it gives an insight to the audience as to what is featured in the magazine, we will add images taken/screenshotted from the trailer to make it clear that our trailer is the main feature in the magazine. The majority of the people that participated in this questionnaire chose 'B', that the character on the front cover should have direct address with the audience, by having direct address it entices the reader to the magazine. Question nines most popular answer was 'A', we will make sure to add the price of the magazine in a visible place with a bold colour to show the value of the magazine. Finally, all of the respondents chose 'C' as their answer, the scratchy font effect gives a decaying image, making it obvious that the magazine is targeted to horror fans.

Trailer
For the response of my trailer evaluation, I used polls (using pollmaker), to ask my audience question, furthermore, two out of the 15+ people that did the survey recorded their screens using the new IOS update on their Ipeshones to show us what their answers were.
The majority of the people that participated in this questionnaire chose a teaser trailer over a theatrical trailer, this tells us that most horror lovers prefer to see the most exciting stuff over being given a whole story line like a theatrical trailer does. This means that we will be creating a teaser trailer as people favoured this the most. In the polls we asked 'which location is best suited for a supernatural film', most of the people chose a church because of its religious symbols, however, we have since changed the sub-genre of our film to Slasher as we also did another questionnaire which included the question; 'which sub-genre would you prefer to see in a horror' and 80% of the people responded with Slasher. In the third question, the answer with the most popular votes was editing, this will enable us, whilst making our trailer, to make our editing skills as excellent as we can, we can do this by showing our knowledge of different editing techniques and incorporating them into the trailer. The results for question 4 were very close, because of this we decided to go with adding the antagonist into the trailer, however we are making sure to hide the identity of the antagonist, still keeping him a mystery. 56% of the respondents chose a one scene trailer when asked 'what structure should the trailer have', however, due to our task/assignment for this subject, we chose a 3 act structure as it gives us more of a chance to showcase our editing, filming and sound skills. 15 out of 18 people said that there should be both fast and slow paces in the trailer, because of this we will make sure to have a combination of both; slow at the beginning, then building up to the montage where it'll be fast paced. The most popular answer was 4 out of 5, telling us that there should be a lot of gore in the trailer, we can do this by showcasing our talent at SFX make-up and using excessive amounts of fake blood. Only 1 out of 18 people said there shouldn't be a jump scare in the film, indicating that the best option is to include one, this'll add much more tension and have the audience wanting more. 100% of the respondents said there shouldn't be any footage of the characters deaths; because of this, we will make sure not to add anything to spoil any characters death. Finally the most popular answer for this question was 'yes', because of this, we will make sure to come up with a name for the film that relates back to the main idea of the film.

Poster
I used Survey Monkey to create a survey about the horror poster for my trailer, this method (using Survey Monkey), functioned on phones, laptops, tablets and more which made it easily accessible for people to complete it on, making it the best way for my research.
